INFECTIONS

It’s one of the most dreaded complication in orthopedics. With best equipment and set up we have infection rate of less than 0.5% of total procedures, which is better than the best hospitals across globe.

Still we get many patients operated primarily outside and suffering from infections as it requires very individualized and experienced approach.

With our ID specialist we approach these patients in most scientific and advanced approach for the cure of infections.

Conditions for Infections

  • Infections following TKR or THR
  • With Implants for any fracture surgery with or without pus discharge
  • Osteomyelitis (bony infection)
  • Septic Arthritis (Infection involving any joint)
  • Diabetic foot (Long standing non-healing ulcers in foot in Diabetic Patients)
  • Soft tissue infections

Treating Bone Infections

  • In orthopedics fracture surgeries its very essential to retain implants (plates, rods) to maintain bony stability and allow fracture healing.
  • It creates difficult situation to eradicate infection keeping implants in situ.
  • Any infection following joint replacement surgery requires urgent attention and very scientific approach.
  • Early infections may get clear with through debridement and IV antibiotics as per culture and sensitivity.
  • Deep infections with implant loosening requires removal of implants, antibiotic cement spacer for 6 weeks and definitive revision with revision implants (2 stage revision).

Stimulan - What it is

It’s an advance unique preparation to which you can add antibiotics as per previous culture & sensitivity. It ensures local antibiotics release for 4-6 weeks without systemic side effects of them.

We have been using stimulant in selected indicated cases with almost 100% success rate .Not only it helps in infection control but also allows to retain implants.

Diabetic Foot

Diabetic foot is a condition in which foot ulcers form on patients with diabetes. It can be dangerous to your feet—even a small cut can produce serious consequences.
